The success of retail industry in Hong Kong is not possible without the innovative leaders behind. The Hong Kong Retail Industry Trade Awards (HKRITA’s) is to recognize their efforts and dedication to the industry.

Judging:
The judging will be done by the Retail Asia Expo 2017 Advisory Committee members* who carefully select the winners based on their wealth of experience and knowledge. The judges will evaluate each entry of award according to the judging criteria state in the guidelines.

Eligibility

Open to all retailers who…

  • Have a turnover of more than US$120, 000 a year
  • Own a retail brand with more than 10 stores
  • Have an excellent achievement in the past 12 months
  • Wish to share your great work to the industry and recognize your hardworking team.

Criteria

  1. Describe your company’s target market
  2. What did you do the past 12 months to provide an outstanding consumer experience?
  3. What is your creative campaign and discuss how the success of the campaign was to be determined?
  4. Is the overall objectives were achieved?
  5. Discuss if the budget targets were met and the expected revenue and profit plans

  • Not owned by/ or associate with a larger company
  • Opened for business for more than 12 months
  • Have an excellent achievement in the past 12 months
  • Wish to share your great work to the industry and recognize your hardworking team.

Criteria

  1. Introduce your company’s product or services and target market
  2. Describe your innovative marketing or business strategies and evaluate its successfulness
  3. Discuss how could your retail store design, VM display, promotion campaign layout or any customer experience related set-up that successfully attracted consumers and built brand recognition
  4. What is the difficulty being a small retailer and how did you overcome the problems?

The Retail Asia Expo 2017 Advisory Committee members announced the winners of the Hong Kong Retail Industry Trade Awards (HKRITA’S) and Top 10 eCommerce Websites Awards 2015. These awards serve to recognize the achievements of key retailers and their contribution to the success of Hong Kong’s retail industry.

HKRITA’s Industry Super Retailer of the Year: Bonjour Holdings Limited

Bonjour currently owns 43 retail stores in Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou that cover a broad range of items to cater the diverse needs of customers. The Group is currently selling about 25,000 kinds of featured products and is dedicated to providing products of exclusive distribution, international brands and in-house brands. 8 Bonjour branches have auxiliary shop “More Mall” specializing in selling snacks from Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

 

HKRITA’s Young Retail Brand of the Year: Mr Simms HK Limited

Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe is Hong Kong’s only traditional purveyor of finest British confectionery.  They pride themselves as a family run specialist stocking over 1,000 nostalgic and contemporary sweets imported from the UK.  Their goal is to provide customers with a delectable and unique experience of visiting a Victorian style shop filled with mouthwatering iconic products from yesteryear. Over the past 12 months they have supported several charities, including Po Leung Kok and HKJC.  They continue to support good causes related to underprivileged children in Hong Kong.
